These are the Club Rules of WCBA!
1. All club members will renew their membership in January. a) WCBA dues are $12.00 a year. 2. There will be a $20.00 per boat fee for club tournaments. a) Fee applies even if you fish alone. b) Club will get 50%, winner will get 50%. 3. Points will be awarded to both team members and will accumulate until the end of our tournament season. a) Points will accumulate as follows: 50 for 1st, 48 for 2nd, 46 for 3rd, 44 for 4th, 42 for 5th, 40 for 6th, for 7th though 14th there will be a 1 point difference. example: 39 for 7th, 38 for 8th, 37 for 9th etc. b) Anyone who fishes the tournament but did not catch any fish will receive 5 points less than the last place to weigh-in. c) Bonus points for lunker and limits will both be 3 points. Fish limits are 8 fish per team and a 5 fish limit when fishing alone. d) Club points will be established using club opens, and club tournaments. e) Substitutions: Each team is allowed two (2) substitutions per year. f) Largest bag of fish and lunker counts in all club tournaments. There will be two lunker awards, one for largest Smallmouth Bass and one for largest Largemouth Bass. 4. The club will vote at January's meeting whether or not to remove inactive members from the club roster. a) Members must attend at least six (6) club functions each year to remain in good standings. CLUB FUNCTIONS: Meetings, Tournaments, Conservation/Youth activities and the Banquet. 5. The club cap (maximum membership allowed) is not to exceed 15 boats. 1. Only teams of two people are allowed. a) Three people may fish together as long as the third person is 10 years of age or younger. b) If you cannot get a partner you may fish alone, but you will only be allowed to weigh 5 fish. 2. Life jackets must be worn any time the gas engine is running, during tournament hours. Failure will result in disqualification. 3. A late penalty of one pound per minute will be assessed up to 15 minutes, after 15 minutes you will be disqualified. 4. Ties will be broken by lunker, if still tied then number of fish, if still tied weight of live fish, if still tied prize will be split. 5. If no fish are caught, money will go to the next weigh-in tournament. 6. Dead fish will be assessed a 4 oz. penalty from total weight per dead fish. a) Dead fish will not count for lunker. 7. Legal length size will be 12 inches. a) Short fish brought to the scales will receive a 1 pound penalty from the team's total weight. The weight of the short fish will not count toward total weight. b) A complimentary measure will be allowed prior to weigh-in. 8. There will be an 8 fish limit per two person team, 5 fish for a single person. a) If too many fish are brought to the scale, the Tournament Director will cull down to the limit beginning with the largest fish. 9. Any protest must be made in writing at weigh-in. a) Protest must be resolved by the club officers, and a decision to be rendered by the next meeting. b) Any prizes affected by the protest will not be awarded until a decision is rendered. 10. Contestants may fish anywhere except within 50 yards of another competitors anchored boat; with the anchor down and trolling motor up. 11. Starting tournament: one team member from each boat will draw for their starting position. The largest number drawn will be the starter boat. 12. If you are late to the tournament you can start fishing only after you have found any other person fishing the tournament and they check your live wells. 13. At weigh in if you have struggling fish, you can move to the front, otherwise you will weigh in the order of the board position. Revised January 7th, 2007 |
