American Legionnnaires, Auxilliary, Sons, Riders and friends:
We need your help.  Please assist the national headquarters in identifying local Iraqi Freedom or Enduring Freedom disabled veterans who may be eligible for monetary grants of $500 each recently made available from the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes.  The sooner we can identify those in most need of these grants, the better.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.  I can give you the contact information for your state to pass along to the veteran or his/her family.  Remember, the veteran must be service-connected disabled at 30% or more and served in OEF/OIF.

The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes www.saluteheroes.org  is no stranger to the Legion, or even to the Riders, having already donated material in support of the American Legion Legacy Run.  They have supported veterans for years and they have our utmost confidence as a straight up organization.
