IS TERRORISM LOSING ITS TEETH?

It seems this nation is seriously divided on the role our nation has been playing in the Middle East and how we have dealt with terrorism on a global scale. The Liberals in this nation seem to have one agenda, and that is to daily rant against the Bush administration and find ways to attack anything he has done.

The Liberal news is constantly bantering on how Iraq has been flubbed, how the administration fails to appease groups like Hezbollah and Al Qaida, and how we have no friends anymore in the world.

Of course, those who were gifted with common sense knew from the onset that this battle between decent civilization and Islamic terror would not be easy. For one, we play by the rules and they do not. They desire death for themselves and others, we desire life. They send their children to school with the intent to bomb innocents and use as human shields to the delight of the Liberal press. We prefer sending them to school to make better lives for themselves and our grandchildren, and would stand in front of them should danger arise, not behind them.

However, the Israeli Arab peace initiative that has been ongoing and pushed heavily by King Abdullah II of Jordan, is backed by 10 Arab nations and approved globally. In fact, I believe Abdullah II already made claim that anyone who commits terror cannot be Muslim. Being the direct descendent of Mohammed, his words carry weight. He has been saying all along that the Palestinian issue needed to be addressed or any peace talks would be useless. This was not simply due to the fact that he wants to get rid of the Palestinians in Jordan, though Jordan was initially created to be the Palestinian state. He is quite a cagey fellow this Abdullah.

From Bin Laden to Haniyeh to Arafat, and the rest of the "Islam or Death" crowd, the Palestinian situation has been the entire core of their mission to kill and destroy. He knew that getting Israel to agree to a Palestinian state and making peace with them would yank the teeth of those terrorists. After all, IF the Palestinians have their home, what cause can they jihad for? This has been the center of jihadist activity for decades. It has been the rally call to all Muslims to destroy Israel and anyone who supported her. Now what?

Hamas went to Saudi Arabia and swore before Allah at Mecca that they would stop killing Palestinians along with Abbas and his Fatah boys. A few weeks went by, they felt slighted, and broke their oath to Allah. Then they took over the Fatah headquarters and cordoned off the Gaza area. Since then they have beaten protesters with sticks, locked the populace in, and claimed a huge victory. However, the Palestinians who wanted out and had their families threatened do not feel the same way. They have lived without power, jobs, food, and purpose and are now seeing that Hamas could care less about their needs, and even their lives.

Hezbollah has been silent as well. With Syria making comments about talking peace if they get the Golan back and Iran under the global microscope, they have little to say. The Lebanese people praised the soldiers last week for ridding the refugee camps of terrorists. What has Hezbollah offered except to incur the wrath of Israel and distance themselves from the global initiative even further? Al Qaida has to resort to Bin Laden and his miraculous dye job to try and rally support. But it is not as readily available as it was 5 years ago.

This peace initiative with Israel and the Arabs is more than just a massive cease fire. It also has financial rewards, as the King of Jordan and his 10 nation band of Merry Men have made lucrative deals with the West to industrialize and bring prosperity to the region.

That purpose going hand in hand with the teeth pulling as Abdullah II knows that when people have more to risk, the less chance remains that they will risk it. After all, in a global economy, if one hand bites another, they all lose. They desire to tie the politics and finances so tightly together that anyone who breaks the rules will suffer financially as well as politically. And those who have been hurt by those actions will not balk when the offending party is punished.

The terror groups of this world have been isolated further and further politically and financially. No one wants them around anymore because they threaten the potential peace and strong economy as pushed by Jordan and it’s cohorts. This is why the Iraq partition plan is being discussed. This is why Iran keeps stomping it’s feet and why Assad keeps whining. They all want in on the Iraqi peace talks because the financial rewards will be tremendous down the line.

The whole world from Russia to China, from Europe to the North American continent is in on this deal. It smacks of cash. It reeks of massive potential economic rewards if the world can keep these Muslims from destroying and get them to build. The Middle East has the worlds’ richest oil fields. It has a tremendous amount of gold. The Middle East is poised to rise as a tremendous world power if they can remain united. But they cannot do this as long as terrorists keep gumming up the works.

Hamas is penned in and they have nowhere to go. And such is the history of these people, only now do they desire to “talk”. They understand that Abbas is the smart one signing onto this peace deal. The world let them have their allowance, they have the support of the globe. Hamas is trying to make bombs without electricity while their own people are stewing at the predicament Hamas put them in. Hezbollah is in the same boat. Bin Laden lives under rocks like any other snake and rattles his saber every few years. But they are greatly reduced in the eyes of the world. Their tactics no longer accepted or praised. The entire world is sick and tired of their cowardice and their insane screams for jihad. The leaders feast sumptuously on goat meat and raisins while hoarding millions and millions of dollars away. Yet the people who followed them run into crowed malls committing suicide and starving. In short, their jig is up.

So when President Bush began this global war on terror, I believe this was part of the dream. I believe that he and many others in power knew that in time it would come to this. Strangle them financially, force their hand so the world can see their true colors, isolate them until they have to sign onto the initiative or continue to die in a jihad that will no longer be viable once Abbas and Israel settle the deal. For the most part they are killing each other, or isolating themselves especially in Iraq with daily murders upon civilians. People are turning them in, they are spitting at their cause. The globe is tiring of these cowards and beginning to flex its’ collective muscle.

I do believe this world is safer than it was. I careless about offending cowards and murderers and embracing them to “understand them” as Hollywood and the DNC claims we should be doing. The only thing we need to “understand” about them is terror will continue as long as they are allowed to roam about. Squeezing the head of a rattlesnake will keep it from biting you if you have the proper grip.

And I do believe we have the proper grip, and will continue to vote for anyone who desires to keep that grip. You do not need to understand a snake to know it will bite you. If you want to try to have face to face talks with a terror organization than have at it. But don’t blame the Bush Administration when you come back bitten and riddles with poison. You have only yourself to blame.
